About the BCM
My name is Jenn and I am a 40 year old mother, wife and student who has been struggling to find a way to help income come into the house and find a way to live through this medical horrific issue called fibromyalgia syndrome. I have a wonderful husband of 17 plus years who is my fabulous partner through life and learning a new way to live. With four children and my lovely pet dog Liberty, we are all adjusting to a new way of living. I had been known around town as "The Betty Crocker Mom", hence the name of this website for many years in a small town in North Carolina. I was the sports mom, school volunteer, full time worker, daycare provider and if you needed something I was the one to call. But then my world came to a stumbling halt and my life began to change. A few doctors and some people close to me say I brought this all on myself, and maybe to a point I did, but why do I have to be punished for wanting to do the best I can for my family?
So for a quick recap of the last year, I have seen numerous doctors, specialists, over 40 vials of blood drawn, a custody case to win for our niece and nephew to be with us permanently, finished my Master's degree, started my Ph.D. and to top it all off, my husband finally got a job with the Department of Defense and we moved to Maryland from North Carolina the week before Christmas. WOW, looking back over the last year, no wonder I am so tired. :)
So after all that I am finally going to start my own blog and maybe help others in the long run, to find their way through all the research on this issue called Fibromyalgia Syndrome or FMS.
